Nich Vunn graduated from Gettysburg College with a degree in International Affairs & Economics. After witnessing and learning about social injustice in various parts of the world, Nich hopes to become an international human rights attorney when she returns home to Cambodia. She is now a Practice Analyst at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, a global law firm that focuses on serving the Technology & Innovation, Energy & Infrastructure and Finance sectors.
While at Gettysburg, in 2022, Nich received the Senior Scholarship Prize and a Silent Leader Award from Gettysburg for her dedication to service and outstanding academic achievement. She was also a part of the Sigma Iota Rho and Omicron Delta Epsilon Chapter. Nich was a Garthwait Leadership Center mentor and an admissions tour guide on campus. In 2021, she worked as an Office Assistant at the Center for Career Engagement, and a Program Coordinator for Immersion Projects at Center for Public Service. Nich also organized and led a public service trip to Alabama to learn about civil rights. In 2019, Nich was selected to do a Summer Fellowship in Namibia for 8 weeks that focused on youth development.
Nich grew up in a small community in Siem Reap, Cambodia. In 2016, she graduated from Jay Pritzker Academy (JPA), a prestigious school where she studied both American and Cambodian curriculums concurrently starting in sixth grade. At JPA, Nich was elected to be the Student Council Vice President and became the School President acting as the liaison between the administration and the students in her senior year. She also founded and directed the first guitar club at her school, which organized performances for assemblies and taught students the fun aspect of music. Nich then went on to study global affairs at the American University of Phnom Penh and completed three semesters before joining SHE-CAN.
