Roselia grew up in Sololá, Guatemala in a family of six, where she learned the values of hard work and resilience from her mother, who supports them through seamstress work, laundry services, and small-scale sales. As the eldest daughter, Roselia often cares for her younger siblings, which has strengthened her leadership and caregiving skills. She attended MAIA Impact School for five years, earning a High School Diploma in Science and Letters and graduating with the second highest academic average in her class. During her time there, she served as a member and later president of the student board, organizing school events and collaborating with partner organizations. Outside of school, she helps lead community initiatives through her youth group to support local youth.
Roselia is passionate about learning, especially mathematics, and constantly seeks opportunities to grow. Her passion for social justice stems from the lack of educational and professional opportunities she has witnessed in her community.
