The best party in the Bay lived up to it’s reputation! On November 5th, 2022 SHE-CAN’s ninth Revolution 2.0 took place at the SF War Memorial. The energy in the packed Herbst Theatre was palpable – the audience was wowed with a powerful performance from SHE-CAN scholars, graduates and honorees. The message was clear: SHE-CAN scholars are already leaders changing their nations and SHE-CAN is on fire!

We started the night having already been given $1.1M from our generous community of Donor Partners. And we quickly crashed our $100K night-of-goal but gifts kept rolling in. At the end of the night we raised $1.25M. A record breaker — our first million dollar gala!

The night was magical. Nine scholars told their powerful stories of how growing up in low-opportunity communities motivated them to start projects that are already impacting people at home. Graduate Patricie Uwase was recognized with our SHE-DOES award. She is leading the pack as the first SHE-CAN graduate who has already been sworn into a cabinet level position in her country Rwanda.

The dance party in the Green Room was magnetic — everyone seemed to be over-the-moon about SHE-CAN and ready to celebrate our success. We can’t wait to see how far we go, as our network of powerful SHE-CAN supporters grows bigger and more passionate.
