Sreytom Tim graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a degree in Family Social Science and a minor in Management. Upon graduation, she landed an internship at Worldview Studio in the Bay Area. Afterwards, Sreytom was hired as a Business Analyst for Emerging Markets Consulting (EMC) in Cambodia and was then promoted to Senior Business Analyst. She is now Monitoring and Evaluation Manager at Skills Development Fund Cambodia. She is also a Cambodian Leadership Advisor for LEAPS for PEACE. Ultimately, she wants to empower girls and women in Cambodia through economic development, education, gender equality, and human rights advancement.
In 2020, Sreytom was awarded the SHE-CAN SuperNoma Award for exceptional engagement and leadership within the SHE-CAN community. At the University of Minnesota, Sreytom was a part of the International Student Advisory Board. She enhanced her leadership skills as a Global Gopher Events Leader, and as an Event Coordinator and Internal Public Relations manager for the Cambodian Student Association of Minnesota. In the winter of 2018, she volunteered to mentor a group of high school girls through Girls Getting Ahead in Leadership (GGAL), a Women’s Initiative for Self-Empowerment (WISE) program that provides opportunities for 10th-12th grade immigrant and refugee girls to improve their academics, prepare for college, and build strong leadership skills. She is interned at the WorldBridge Group in Cambodia and at Girls on Fire Leaders in NYC.
Before she joined SHE-CAN, Sreytom assumed many leadership roles at her high school and earned her high school’s highest score on the National Exam. Additionally, she received a scholarship to study at Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC).
