SHE-CAN Scholar: Sheilla Rukundo

Sheilla Rukundo graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in Finance and Economics, and then with a master’s degree in Economics. Sheilla worked at the National Bank of Rwanda as a Senior Economist and has now been promoted as a Manager. 

At Lehigh, Sheilla was a member of the Accounting Club and the African Caribbean Culture Club. She also worked with RCEAS Digital Media, where she helped raise awareness about student experiences by sharing students’ blogs on different social media platforms. In her freshman year, she was selected to participate in the Leadership Lehigh. During the summer of 2015 she interned with Ernst and Young in Philadelphia, where she reviewed and analyzed annual balance sheets and tax forms. Sheilla spent the summer before her senior year doing research with one of her professors, focusing on microfinancial research.
