SHE-CAN Scholar: Mishael F. Ohanwadi

Mishael attends Gettysburg College. Mishael and her four siblings are from Monrovia, and after their mother passed away, Mishael’s older sister raised her. Mishael overcame adversity with the help of her siblings. She was able to acquire finances and construct a water pump for her neighbors with the aid of her community. She has contributed school supplies, meals, and clothing to orphanages housing disadvantaged children. She also sought to raise knowledge of COVID-19 so that rural Liberian communities would have adequate sanitation standards.

Mishael is passionate about the environment and has participated in a number of activities in order to improve it. She has participated in environmental projects and hopes to inspire other young people in Liberia to take a stand on significant issues by setting an example.
