SHE-CAN Scholar: Kevine Shima

Kevine Shima graduated from Muhlenberg College, with a double major in Computer Science and Economics. Kevine has always been interested in Mechanism Design and Data Science because she believes that data manipulation is a key to creating sustainable and meaningful solutions. 

At Muhlenberg, Kevine was a member of various organizations and clubs, such as Philosophy Club, WiSTEM, Wall Street Club, French Club, and International Student Association, where she was able to meet and converse with different colleagues as she learned more about different fields. Kevine also held different roles as a Research Assistant at RII International-Power Africa, Pre-orientation Leader, Academic Tutor in Economics and Math, and Student Help Desk Associate at the Muhlenberg Office of Information and Technology​. In Summer 2022, Kevine was a Information Technology and Data Analytics Intern at Boeing.

Before going to Muhlenberg, Kevine graduated from Gashora Girls Academy where she took Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). At Gashora, she organized several events, such as dance performances, parades, cultural events, and competitions. Kevine loves combining creativity, teamwork, and grit to develop and execute meaningful projects. Kevine intends to create long-lasting economic solutions for the communities.
