Diane Ingabire graduated from Spelman College with a B.S in Chemistry. Diane is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is incredibly passionate about education and aspires to incorporate career counseling for young Rwandans into her professional endeavors.
At Spelman, Diane was involved in the Spelman Student Government Association as a House Representative of the Chemistry Club, a member of the American Chemical Society, a member of the Undergraduate Health Science Academy, and as a member of the African Student Association. She was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa, America’s most prestigious academic honor society, in acknowledgement of her academic achievements.
Throughout her four years at Spelman College, she has secured research opportunities at UCLA, Spelman College, and Michigan State University. Additionally, she received Genentech’s Most Outstanding Student Award, allowing her to intern at Genentech after graduation. Before she joined SHE-CAN, Diane interned at the forensic lab in Kigali.
